RAD's Full Potential project is organising a 4X4 off-road jeep challenge for Deaf youths aged 11-17. No previous experience is required. RAD's annual Christmas Carol Service for Deaf and Deafblind people took place at Chelmsford Cathedral on Friday 12th December. Over 400 people attended and enjoyed signed performances from local schools and BSL readings including one from RAD Trustee, Tomato Lichy. Next year's RAD Carol Service will take place on Friday 11th December.
RAD's Full Potential team recently organised a successful weekend photography course in London. The event was attended by 11 Deaf youths, all of whom enjoyed learning new skills and making new friends. For the first time, Deaf BSL users living in England and Wales with a low income or receiving benefits can obtain free and confidential legal advice through a webcam with a broadband connection. Caseworkers are fluent in BSL, and will provide specialist advice at Community Legal Service Specialist Quality Mark level.
